Woedica + Ethos means classes that cannot regen class resources are elimated, which leaves us Chanter, Cipher, Tactician, Bloodmage and Monk, sc or multiclassed. We can just simply get what class can do ultimate through a process of elimination. If you drop the megabosses, then anything is viable with thoughtful tactics and minimal cheese.Īlso depends on if you carry vela or not. This is what comes to mind if we are talking Solo, POTD, and Megabosses. the T8/T9 spells are nice, but not needed for bosses, which is why multi option is better)Ĩ)) Wiz-blood / Monk-Hel (This combo rocks most battles and without access to T8s/T9s its potential falls short on megabosses) SB is for Megabosses)ĥ) Fighter-Tact / Cipher-Ascended (good overall option, could be swayed to make it SB for megabosses)Ħ) Cipher (would need to manually build tankiness, but T8/T9 skills would be great for bosses)ħ) Wiz (buffs cover tankiness, but arcane dampeners can be rough. this one has great potential, but blossoms level 10+. a) Efficiently doing damage for regular battles (Wiz), and b) High Pen and DPS for megabosses (Monk)Īfter playing multiple POTD runs, my thoughts drift towards:ġ) Monk-Hel (best option, due to upper-tier powers handling bosses, but weakness is you still need to manually build tankiness)Ģ) Wiz-Blood / Fighter-Tact (best versatility, good buffs, good defensive options, but need to build PL/AR-pen for mega bosses)ģ) Fighter-Tact / Chanter-Troub (safe, but slower, with great passive healing and consistent resources)Ĥ) Wiz-Blood / Cipher-SB (Wiz buffs + Cipher buffs/debuffs. but its too frustrating with massive lag, im running mac os 12.6 if anyone knows a way to make deadfire run better on mac please share! i have done some research and i still cant make the cuba or nvidea control panel work, admittedly my knowledge of computers is limited and issuing console commands and complicated workarounds are difficult for me.General conclusions are based upon three parameters:ġ) Renewable resources: Monk, Cipher, Chanter, Wiz-Blood, and Fighter-TactĢ) Tankiness: Combination of inherent defenses (Fighter-Tact), buffs (Wiz), debuff-buffs (Cipher), passive heals (Chanter, Fighter), CC (Cipher,Wiz)ģ) Damage output: Which needs to be in two forms. Side note: I really wish i could play deadfire. Thanks for tuning in fellow Pillars of Eternity lovers!! Cheers! Used the redeemer sword that 25% chance to kill vessels, then i dropped the instruments of death and hit withdraw and that was it. I went into the thoas fight injured and with no food and mopped the floor with him. Didnt record llengrath due to massive frustration with the no food autosave, after building a whole new character just to get to llengrath and screw up again. ![]() A miracle! after llengrath everything else was easy. So no going back! Ended up winning the fight using alot of kiting on the first try. I wanted to quit, but for some reason i wanted to get this achievement, so I started all over, then next time i faced Llengrath i screwed up again and forgot to eat any food before the battle, and the game somehow autosaved with the bog cult apprentice running at me initiating combat. ![]() I died on Llengrath the first time around, and my file was deleted.
